My Journey

I know first-hand how challenging it is to be solo-preneur and work both IN and ON your business. If you want someone who understands what it takes, then please reach out.

I started my career as an Organisational Psychologist in the corporate world, where I worked crazy hours and achieved, among other things, a coffee addiction.

My corporate journey was rewarding, and I achieved many career goals, but the hours were brutal and the stress relentless. What made it manageable was the deep knowing that I was on a path to freedom.

I knew for certain that I would start my own business some day – and I believed that each challenge and opportunity was preparing me for a future of entrepreneurship.

I gave myself three years at the company where I ended up as Head of the Human Resources division, and once I had done my time …

I resigned ...

I clearly remember the feeling when I wrote my resignation letter. I experienced the “numbness” people often refer to when they talk about dealing with something major.

Once I’ve finished my (zero-rest) notice period, I took myself on a month-long overseas holiday to clear my head and put my corporate past – and, more importantly, the safety net of a salary at the end of the month – behind me.

For me it was a "freedom at last" feeling - and also the realisation that I was now solely responsible for my future and financial security.

Returning from that holiday was hard. I have vivid memories of cold, windy days … cold calling … a poorly lit home office … and deep feelings of insecurity.

And then my previous employer became my first client - my fledgling consulting business took flight!

Over time, my confidence and client base grew, and I made the pivotal decision to join forces with a business partner. We ended up working together for the next 10 years, building, growing, and scaling our consulting and training business. Our team of talented and committed consultants took care of service delivery, allowing me to focus on business development and innovation.

This fundamental shift in the business also allowed me to spend more time with my family and start an online side hustle! I loved learning about the world of online marketing and leveraging digital tools. I also learned how to build websites, not knowing at the time that I was taking my first steps towards another income stream.

In and amongst it all, I got married, raised two boys, and moved form one country to another.

When our family decided to move to Australia, I knew it was time to say goodbye to my business baby, which by then, had grown into a saleable asset.

Selling the business was both heart-wrenching and liberating. I had to say goodbye to the business that served me so well for so many years – and step into a brand new future in a new country.

Moving to Australia meant change on so many levels. My family had to come first for some time, and it took me a while to find a way of working that worked for my circumstances.

I now leverage my professional, consulting, and online business experience (along with formal education in these areas), to help Health Professionals, Consultants and other Service-based Professionals with their business set-up and processes, online presence and business development strategy.

If you want to work with someone who has walked in your shoes, is patient, kind and supportive, and stands for your success, then I might just be the right service provider for you.

My coaching philosophy

What I believe about our work together

14

Radical responsibility is empowering

I believe while we can’t control everything that happens to us, we can take ownership of how we respond and what we do next. Taking responsibility for your emotions, responses, decisions, and choices (especially when others are ‘to blame’) can feel like a stretch, and unfair. But it’s also deeply empowering. Recognising where you have agency and using it to create the change you want is at the heart of meaningful growth.

7

Real solutions are practical & personal

Everything we do together will be grounded in your reality. We’ll start with where you are now, and work out what’s practical and achievable given your circumstances, resources, and constraints.

Business Coach for Consultants

You have the answers

You are the only person who truly understands the full context of where you are right now – the story so far, the nuances, the competing priorities and the considerations you carry but rarely voice. I’ll create a non-judgmental and fertile thinking space where you can unravel your ideas, say the quiet parts out loud and find solutions that work for you.

11

You can do difficult things

When the going gets tough, or things go wrong, I’ll hold a safe and nurtuting space where you can be honest about what’s really happening, face your fears, and take the steps you’ve been avoiding.

Consult Flow - Business Coaching for Consultants

What you do today matters

The future you want gets built from the choices you make and the steps you take, day to day, including the small ones that don’t feel like much at the time.  I’ll help you see your options clearly, make well considered decisions and keep moving forward with a clear plan and action steps.
